At 4:00 p.m. PDT today quasi-stationary low 975 mb located over
the Gulf of Alaska.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:46 AM PDT 18 September 2014 A frontal system will move across the offshore waters tonight and
reach the North Coast on Thursday. An intense low pressure system
will move over the Gulf Of Alaska late Thursday.
Ahead of the front gale force southeasterly winds will develop over
northern and central waters. In the wake of the front winds over
central waters will diminish to moderate to strong westerlies.
Over northern waters strong to gale force southwesterlies will
persist through Thursday night as the intense low approaches.
