Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:52 AM PDT 20 April 2014 A low pressure system will track northeastward across Bowie today and
will reach the Alaska Panhandle by this evening. Ahead of the low
gale to storm force southeasterly winds will prevail over the central
and northern waters through the day. Winds will shift to gale to
storm force southwesterlies in its wake. The trailing cold front
over the offshore waters this morning will move southeastward to
Queen Charlotte Sound near noon and then to Vancouver Island later
this afternoon. Associated with the front strong to gale force
southeasterly winds will develop over the inner south coastal waters
this morning. The winds will ease to moderate to strong tonight as
the system weakens.
