Issued 10:30 AM PDT 23 September 2014 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today low 975 mb located 490 miles southwest of
Cape Scott.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Wednesday low 974 mb located 270 miles southwest
of Cape Scott.

At noon PDT today cold front located on a line northwest-southeast
over Explorer.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight cold front located on a line
northwest-southeast over Vancouver Island.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:17 AM PDT 23 September 2014 An intense low pressure system developing over the Eastern Pacific
ocean will continue to approach British Columbia waters today.
The system will gradually move northeastward and reach Northwestern
Explorer late Wednesday morning.

Widespread gale force easterly or southeasterly winds are expected
ahead of the low over the offshore waters and along the outer coastal
waters.

Gale to storm force southeast winds are likely on Wednesday for
waters in the vicinity of Northern Vancouver Island.
