Issued 4:00 AM PDT 17 April 2014 Today Tonight and Friday At 4:00 a.m. PDT today cold front located on a line
northeast-southwest over Cape Scott.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT today departing cold front located on a line
north-south over the southern Strait of Georgia.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT Friday approaching warm front located on a line
northwest-southeast over western Bowie.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:51 AM PDT 17 April 2014 A cold front currently northeast-southwest over the central
Coast will move across the southern waters today, crossing the
southern straight of Georgia by late this afternoon.

Southeasterly gales have developed over the north and central
Waters and Northern Vancouver Island ahead of the front. Strong to
gale force westerly to northwesterly winds are expected behind the
front over the offshore waters as well as regions of the central and
southern waters. Winds will gradually ease behind the front through
tonight.

A deepening low pressure system will approach the offshore waters
Friday evening. Ahead of this system, winds will rise to gale
To storm force southeasterly over the northern and central waters and
the west coast of Vancouver Island Friday afternoon.
