Ice forecasts for the Eastern and Northern Arctic issued by
Environment Canada at 11:00 a.m. EDT Thursday 18 April 2024 for
today tonight and Friday.
The next scheduled forecasts will be issued at 11:00 a.m. Friday.

Ice edge estimated from near 6200N 5854W to 6258N 5746W then
northeastward. Sea ice northwest of the ice edge.

West Davis - southern half.
9 tenths first-year ice including 1 tenth old ice. Consolidated
first-year ice including a trace of old ice along parts of the
coast.

East Davis - southern half.
2 tenths first-year ice except 9 tenths first-year ice including a
trace of old ice in the northwestern section.

West Brevoort.
9 tenths first-year ice including 1 tenth old ice. Consolidated
first-year ice along parts of the coast.

Central Brevoort - southern half.
Bergy water except 7 tenths first-year ice including a trace of old
ice in the western section.

Central Brevoort - northern half.
6 tenths first-year ice except 9 tenths first-year ice including a
trace of old ice in the western section.
