By 3:00 a.m. NDT Saturday departing low 999 mb located east of
Funk Island Bank.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located west of the Maritimes.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Saturday ridge located on a line north-south over
southwestern Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:51 AM NDT 18 August 2017 A low pressure system over Funk Island Bank will drift southwestward
into the northern portion of the East Coast this morning before
moving quickly eastward and away from the district later today and
tonight. Gale force northeasterlies north of the low shift to strong
to gale force northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
South Coast, East Coast, Northeast Coast, Funk Island Bank - northern
half, and the Southern Grand Banks.
