By 10:00 a.m. NST Monday low 970 mb located southeast of Greenland.

By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday approaching ridge located over the
Maritimes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:52 AM NST 22 January 2017 An intense low pressure system east of Belle Isle Bank will track
slowly northeastward to lie southeast of Greenland by Monday morning.
Strong to gale force northwesterlies over all northern and eastern
waters today will persist over northeasternmost waters on Monday
between the low and a ridge of high pressure approaching from the
west.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island
Bank, Northern Grand Banks, and Southeastern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, East Coast, Northeast
Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
