Issued 10:00 AM NST 17 November 2017 Today Tonight and Saturday At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 993 mb located east of the Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NST today departing low 990 mb located east of the
Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
eastern Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday departing ridge located southeast of
the Grand Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 988 mb located over southeastern
New Brunswick.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday low 989 mb located near Cape Breton
Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:51 AM NST 17 November 2017 A low pressure system east of the Grand Banks will continue to slowly
move eastward today. Strong to gale force north to northwesterlies
over eastern waters will diminish this afternoon as the low pulls
away.

A second low pressure system will approach the marine district from
the west today. Strong to gale force southeasterlies will develop
over western and southern waters ahead of the low.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle - western half, Gulf waters, Southwest Coast,
South Coast, and the Grand Banks.
