By 3:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday departing high 1033 mb located east of
the Marine District.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today trough located over Labrador.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Wednesday trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over the Great Northern Peninsula.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today Hurricane Jose 972 mb located at 36.8N 71.5W.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:23 PM NDT 19 September 2017 As of 3:30 PM NDT hurricane Jose is estimated to be at 36.8
North 71.5 west with a central pressure of 973 MB, maximum wind speed
of 65 knots, and is moving to the north at 5 knots. Jose is expected
to weaken to a tropical storm as it moves northwards towards Cape
Cod. Jose is then forecast to become nearly stationary on Thursday
and remain offshore of the Eastern Seaboard through Saturday. Jose is
not expected to have any impact on Newfoundland waters during this
timeframe.
