Issued 8:00 PM NDT 18 October 2017 Tonight and Thursday At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight low 1007 mb located over the Great
Northern Peninsula.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Thursday weakening low 1010 mb located over Funk
Island Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight trough from 1007 mb low located near the
Burin Peninsula.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Thursday departing trough located east of the
Grand Banks.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT Thursday ridge located from Labrador to Nova
Scotia.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT Thursday ridge located from Labrador Sea to the
Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:55 PM NDT 18 October 2017 A cold front located near the Burin Peninsula will cross the Southern
Grand Banks tonight. Winds will increase to strong southwesterlies
ahead of the front and strong to gale force northwesterlies behind
it.

A trough of low pressure will approach Gulf waters late Thursday.
Winds will increase to strong to gale force southwesterlies ahead of
the trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Northeast Gulf, Gulf-Port au Port and Southwestern Grand Banks.
