Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:18 PM NST 10 February 2016 A low pressure system just east of the Funk Island Bank will continue
to track northeastwards out to sea tonight. A trough of low pressure
extending southwestwards from the low will also move northeastwards
to exit the marine district by Thursday morning. Gale force
northeasterlies will affect waters to the north of the systems'
track, while gale to storm force southwesterlies will affect waters
to their south.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Funk Island Bank and Northern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters except the Gulf waters, Northeast
Coast - north of Cape St. John, and the Southern Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, Northeast Coast -
north of Cape St. John and the Belle Isle Bank.
