Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:36 PM NDT 20 October 2017 A low pressure system over the South Labrador Sea will deepen as it
slowly crosses north of the marine district tonight. A trough
extending from the low across Newfoundland will move to lie east of
the Grand Banks by Saturday morning. Strong to gale force
southwesterlies ahead of the trough will veer to gale to storm force
northwesterlies in the wake of these features.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except the Strait of Belle Isle - western half, Gulf waters,
Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast - Cape St. Francis and
south, and Southeastern Grand Banks.
