Marine Weather StatementIssued 7:47 PM NST 10 December 2016 An intense and slow-moving low pressure system northeast of the
district will maintain strong to gale force northwesterlies over most
waters tonight and Sunday. The northwesterlies will reach storm force
over northernmost waters until about midnight tonight.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for Strait of Belle Isle
- eastern half, Southwest Coast, Funk Island Bank and Southwestern
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast
- Cape St. Francis and south and the Grand Banks.
