Issued 8:00 PM NDT 28 April 2016 Tonight and Friday At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight low 993 mb located north of Belle Isle
Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Friday merging low 979 mb located northeast of
Belle Isle Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight low 995 mb located east of Belle Isle Bank.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Friday low 977 mb located over southwestern
Labrador Sea.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight weakening trough located from Funk Island
Bank to the Avalon Peninsula.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:53 PM NDT 28 April 2016 A trough of low pressure from Funk Island Bank to the Avalon
Peninsula will weaken tonight. Gale force westerlies over southern
coastal waters in the wake of the trough will diminish to strong by
Friday morning as the trough weakens.

Meanwhile a complex area of low pressure north and east of Belle Isle
Bank will intensify as it moves southwestward towards the marine
district on Friday. Strong to gale force west to southwesterlies will
develop over most waters tonight or Friday as this system approaches.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except the East Coast - north of Cape St. Francis, Funk Island
Bank - southern half, and the Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Strait of Belle Isle and Belle Isle Bank.
