Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 10:00 AM NDT 30 September 2016 Today Tonight and Saturday At 10:00 a.m. NDT today deepening low 997 mb located over the
northern Grand Banks.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight departing low 994 mb located east of the
Grand Banks.

By 3:30 p.m. NDT today quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the Maritimes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:51 AM NDT 30 September 2016 A low pressure system currently located over the Northern Grand Banks
will deepen as it tracks eastward this morning to lie east of the
marine district by this afternoon. Strong to gale force
southeasterlies ahead of the low will shift to gale to storm force
northerlies in its wake. Winds will diminish by this evening as the
low moves away from the district.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
East Coast, Funk Island Bank - southern half, Northern Grand Banks,
the Southeastern Grand Banks, and the Southwestern Grand Banks -
northern half.
