Issued 3:30 PM NST 29 January 2015 Tonight and Friday At 3:30 p.m. NST today trough located over Belle Isle Bank.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight trough located east of the Marine District.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today low located southeast of the Maritimes.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Friday low 998 mb located over the South Coast
of Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:16 PM NST 29 January 2015 A low pressure system south of the marine district will move
northward towards Newfoundland tonight. The low will then either pass
over or just east of the Avalon Peninsula Friday afternoon. Strong to
gale force northeasterlies will develop north of the low tonight over
the Grand Banks and spread northwards through the eastern marine
district on Friday. Strong southerlies will develop east of the low
Friday before shifting to strong westerlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings is in effect for the
South Coast, East Coast, Northeast Coast - Cape St John and south and
the Funk Island Bank.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Strait of Belle Isle, the Northeast Coast - north of
Cape St John and the Belle Isle Bank.
