Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:53 AM NST 23 February 2017 A low pressure system over the Northeastern Grand Banks will move
away to the east later today. Over southeastern waters, gale force
northwesterlies behind the low will diminish as it moves away today.
A second low pressure system will approach from the west today and
tonight. The low will track eastward across Northern Newfoundland
Friday morning, then move east of the district later in the day.
Strong to gale force southwesterlies can be expected south of the
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast, and the Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, Northeast Coast, and
