Issued 3:00 AM NDT 28 October 2016 Today Tonight and Saturday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today departing low 985 mb located east of the
Marine District.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today high located south of Labrador.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Saturday high located over the northern Grand

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight deepening low 1008 mb located southwest
of Nova Scotia.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT Saturday approaching low 999 mb located southeast
of Cape Breton Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:56 AM NDT 28 October 2016 An intense low pressure system east of the marine district will
continue tracking away to the northeast today. Any remaining gale
force northerlies over the Northern Grand Banks behind the low will
diminish this morning as the low moves away from the district.

On Saturday, another low pressure system will approach Newfoundland
from the southwest. Gale to storm force easterlies will spread across
southern waters on Saturday ahead of this low.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
the Southwestern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for
Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast, the Northern Grand Banks,
and the Southeastern Grand Banks.
