Issued 3:00 AM NDT 1 September 2016 Today Tonight and Friday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today quasi-stationary trough located on a line
east-west over the South Coast of Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today tropical depression 8 located at 37.2N 69.1W.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT today tropical depression 8 located south of
Nova Scotia.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today trough located on a line east-west over
southern Labrador Sea.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight weakening trough located over Belle
Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:59 AM NDT 1 September 2016 At 3:00 A.M. NDT, tropical depression eight is located near 37.2
degrees north and 69.1 degrees west. Maximum sustained winds are 25
knots and minimum central pressure is about 1009 MB. It is currently
moving east-northeastward at 14 knots. The remnants of tropical
depression eight are expected to track across the Southern Grand
Banks on Friday. Gale force southwesterlies are expected south of its
track.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Southern Grand Banks.

At 3:00 A.M. NDT, hurricane Gaston is located near 36.3 degrees north
and 45.0 degrees west. Maximum sustained winds are 85 knots and
minimum central pressure is about 972 MB. It is currently moving
northeastward at 17 knots.

Gaston is forecast to pass well south of Canadian waters.
