38.3N 70.4W.
By 9:00 a.m. ADT Thursday Tropical Storm Jose 981 mb located at
39.8N 67.8W.

At 9:00 p.m. ADT Thursday departing Tropical Storm Jose 985 mb
located at 39.6N 67.3W.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:58 AM ADT 20 September 2017 Strong to gale force southeast winds will develop later today ahead
of approaching tropical storm Jose. Marine interests are advised that
gale warnings are in effect for Browns Bank, Georges Bank, and West
Scotian Slope - southwestern half.

At 3:00 AM ADT tropical storm Jose is located near 38.3 north
And 70.4 west with a central pressure of 974 MB. The maximum wind
speed is 60 knots. Jose is moving northeast at 8 knots.

Tropical storm Jose is forecast to continue moving northeast, slowly
approaching Georges Bank later today. Tonight Jose should remain
southwest of Georges Bank while beginning to turn east and then
southeast on Thursday. Jose is expected to bring gale force winds to
Browns Bank, Georges Bank and the southwestern half of West Scotian
Slope. At this time it looks like storm force winds around Jose will
not quite reach Georges Bank. Increasing wave heights and long period
swells ahead of Jose have already reached Atlantic coastlines of Nova
Scotia and will likely reach Fundy coastlines this morning.
