At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight tropical depression 8 located at 36.8N
71.0W.
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Thursday Tropical Storm Ian 1005 mb located at
38.3N 67.9W.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:47 PM ADT 31 August 2016 At 5 PM ADT hurricane Gaston is located near 34.5 degrees north
And 48.0 degrees west. Maximum sustained winds are 95 knots. Minimum
central pressure is approximately 964 MB. Gaston is moving
northeastward at 9 knots.

Note that Gaston is forecast to pass well south of Canadian waters.

As of 9 PM ADT tropical depression 8 is located near 36.8 degrees
north and 71.0 degrees west. Maximum sustained winds are 25 knots.
Minimum central pressure is approximately 1010 MB. It is moving
northeastward at 14 knots.

The depression could become a tropical storm tonight. Current
guidance has the storm tracking along the southern edge of Laurentian
Fan early Friday morning.
