Issued 3:30 PM AST 7 February 2016 Tonight and Monday At 3:30 p.m. AST today cold front located over the Gulf of
St. Lawrence to Nova Scotia.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight departing cold front located over
Banquereau.

At midnight AST tonight deepening low 981 mb located off Cape
Hatteras.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight low 973 mb located near Georges Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:21 PM AST 7 February 2016 A cold front stretching from the Gulf of St. Lawrence to Nova Scotia
will move to lie over Banquereau this evening. Strong to gale force
southwesterlies ahead of the front veer to strong to gale force
northwesterlies behind it.

A low pressure system forming northeast of Florida will rapidly
intensify tonight as it moves northeastward to lie near george's bank
Monday evening. Gale to storm force northeasterlies are expected as
the low approaches.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Lurcher..Browns Bank..George's bank..Southwestern shore..Lahave
Bank..West Scotian Slope..Eastern shore..Sable..East Scotian Slope..
Banquereau and Laurentian Fan. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters. Freezing spray warnings remain in effect for
Fourchu..Cabot Strait and all Gulf of St Lawrence waters.
A combination of pounding surf at Monday's high tide will result in
higher than normal water levels along the south shore of Nova Scotia.
