Synopsis

Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM AST 19 November 2017 Tonight and Monday At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight low 977 mb located over the Gaspe
Peninsula.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Monday low 975 mb located over western Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:53 PM AST 19 November 2017 An intense low pressure system over the Gaspé Peninsula will move
into Western Labrador Monday morning. Southeasterly gales ahead of
this system will shift to strong to gale force southwesterlies
tonight across the district as the low passes north of the region.

There is a great deal of uncertainty regarding the track and
intensity of a low pressure system forecast to move across the
Maritimes Wednesday night and through the day Thursday. Current
indications are that this system will track northeastward across
southern waters keeping the strongest winds south of the marine
district. However, there is a chance that this track may shift
further northward bringing gale to possible storm force winds to much
of the district.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings remain in effect for
all waters.
