Issued 3:00 AM AST 9 December 2016 Today Tonight and Saturday At 3:00 a.m. AST today intensifying low 988 mb located over
eastern Banquereau.
By 10:00 a.m. AST today departing low 979 mb located over
southeastern Newfoundland.

At 3:30 p.m. AST today intensifying low 965 mb located east of
Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:52 AM AST 9 December 2016 A low pressure system over Eastern Banquereau will continue to
intensify as it tracks northeastward today. In the wake of the low,
strong to gale force northwesterlies are forecast.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
East Scotian Slope, Banquereau and Laurentian Fan. Marine interests
are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in effect for
Northumberland Strait, Chaleur-Miscou, Gulf-Magdalen and Anticosti.
