By 3:00 a.m. ADT Friday Tropical Storm Jose 986 mb located at
39.4N 68.0W.

At 9:00 a.m. ADT Friday Tropical Storm Jose 987 mb located at
39.4N 68.2W.
By 9:00 p.m. ADT Friday Post-tropical Storm Jose 989 mb located
at 39.4N 68.5W.

At 3:00 a.m. ADT today quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:52 AM ADT 21 September 2017 Strong to gale force easterlies will continue to affect southwestern
waters today and tonight as tropical storm Jose lies southwest of
Georges Bank. Winds will diminish somewhat on Friday as tropical
storm Jose drifts away from the district. Marine interests are
advised that gale warnings are in effect for Browns Bank, Georges
Bank, and West Scotian Slope - southwestern half.

At 3:00 AM ADT tropical storm Jose is located near 39.7 north
And 68.0 west, or about 150 nautical miles south-southeast of Cape
Cod. Minimum central pressure is 980 MB and maximum sustained winds
are 50 knots. Jose is moving east-northeast at 5 knots.

Tropical storm Jose is forecast to slowly turn southeast today then
curve back toward the southwest tonight. Increasing wave heights and
long period swells ahead of Jose have already reached the Atlantic
coastline of Nova Scotia and the Fundy coastline of New Brunswick.
