Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:46 AM AST 19 February 2017 A low pressure system over the Gulf of St. Lawrence will track
eastward today to lie east of Newfoundland this evening. Strong to
gale force southwesterlies over southern waters will diminish this
afternoon as the low moves away. On Monday strong northerlies will
develop in the wake of the system and could reach gale force over
southern waters late in the day.
Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for
Laurentian Fan. Freezing spray warnings are in effect for
Gulf-Magdalen and Anticosti.
