At 10:00 a.m. ADT today intensifying tropical depression 8 located
at 35.0N 74.0W.
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Thursday intensifying tropical depression 8
located at 38.3N 68.6W.

At 10:00 a.m. ADT today Hurricane Gaston 956 mb located at 34.1N
By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight Hurricane Gaston 975 mb located at
35.9N 45.6W.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:57 AM ADT 31 August 2016 At 6 AM ADT hurricane Gaston is located near 33.4 degrees north
And 50.2 degrees west. Maximum sustained winds are 105 knots.
Minimum central pressure is approximately 956 MB. Gaston is moving
northeastward at 9 knots.

Note that Gaston is forecast to pass well south of Canadian waters.

As of 9 AM ADT tropical depression 8 is located near 35.0 degrees
north and 74.0 degrees west. Maximum sustained winds are 30 knots.
Minimum central pressure is approximately 1011 MB. It is moving
northeastward at 5 knots.

The depression could become a tropical storm today. Current
Guidance has the storm tracking over the southern slope waters
Thursday and into Friday.
