39.2N 69.5W.
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Thursday Tropical Storm Jose 980 mb located at
39.7N 68.4W.

At 3:30 p.m. ADT Thursday weakening Tropical Storm Jose 983 mb
located at 39.7N 67.5W.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:19 PM ADT 20 September 2017 Strong to gale force easterly winds will develop this evening as
tropical storm Jose makes its closest approach to Canadian waters.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Browns Bank, Georges Bank, and West Scotian Slope - southwestern
half.

At 3:00 PM ADT tropical storm Jose was located near 39.2 north
And 69.3 west, or about 120 nautical miles south-southeast of Cape
Cod. Minimum central pressure is 976 MB and maximum sustained winds
are 60 knots. Jose is moving northeast at 7 knots.

Tropical storm Jose is forecast to continue moving slowly
northeastward tonight then turn southeastward on Thursday then curve
back toward the southwest thereafter. Jose will bring gale force
winds to the southwestern corner of the marine district later today
which should persist on Thursday. Increasing wave heights and long
period swells ahead of Jose have already reached Atlantic coastlines
of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
