over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday dissipating trough located east of the
Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over the East Coast of Newfoundland.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
east-west over the southern Grand Banks.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today deepening low 992 mb located off Labrador
Coast.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday low 989 mb located over northwestern
Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:56 AM NDT 24 April 2017 A trough of low pressure over the Gulf of St. Lawrence will cross the
district today and tonight. Strong southerly winds ahead of this
feature will shift to strong to gale force westerlies in its wake
today.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Strait of Belle Isle and the Gulf waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast and
Belle Isle Bank.
