Issued 3:30 PM AST 6 February 2016 Tonight and Sunday At 3:30 p.m. AST today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over the western Marine District.
By 3:30 p.m. AST Sunday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the northern Grand Banks.

At 3:30 p.m. AST today low 1010 mb located east of James Bay.
By 3:30 p.m. AST Sunday departing low 1004 mb located northeast
of Anticosti Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:12 PM AST 6 February 2016 A ridge of high pressure over the western marine district will track
across Nova Scotia tonight to over Newfoundland Sunday morning.
Strong to gale force northwesterlies well ahead of the ridge
gradually diminish in its vicinity.

Meanwhile a low pressure centre east of James Bay this afternoon
Will pass to the north of the Gulf of St Lawrence on Sunday. A cold
front will trail this system. Strong to gale force southwesterlies
ahead of the front veer to strong to gale force northwesterlies
behind it.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau..Cabot Strait..Gulf Magdalen..Chaleur-Miscou and
Anticosti.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Cabot Strait and all of the Gulf of St Lawrence waters.
