Issued 10:00 AM NDT 25 March 2017 Today Tonight and Sunday At 10:00 a.m. NDT today trough located over the Gulf of
St. Lawrence.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Sunday departing trough located east of the
Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today deepening low 1014 mb located south of
Cape Breton Island.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Sunday low 999 mb located over the southeastern
Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:49 AM NDT 25 March 2017 A low pressure system south of Nova Scotia will track eastward to
cross the Southern Grand Banks tonight. As it moves just east of the
Grand Banks it will become nearly stationary and rapidly intensify.
Gale to storm force northwesterlies will develop over southern and
eastern waters behind this low.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Northern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for East Coast -
Cape St. Francis and south, Funk Island Bank and the Southern Grand
Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters.
