Issued 3:00 AM NST 13 February 2016 Today Tonight and Sunday At 3:00 a.m. NST today departing trough located over the northern
Grand Banks.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 984 mb located over Banquereau.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Sunday low 983 mb located over Funk Island Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:57 AM NST 13 February 2016 A trough of low pressure over the Northern Grand Banks will move away
from the district this morning. A small area of gale force
southwesterly winds south of this feature will diminish to strong
this morning as the trough moves away.

Meanwhile, a second intense low pressure system will move into
Banquereau this afternoon and track northeastward to lie over Funk
Island Bank by early Sunday morning. Winds will increase to gale
force easterlies over southern waters ahead of this system. Gale to
storm force southerlies are expected south of this system later
today.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the Southern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters and
Northeast Coast.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Southwest Coast, East
Coast - north of Cape St. Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank
and Funk Island Bank.
