the Marine District.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight trough located over Labrador.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT Wednesday trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over central Newfoundland.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight Hurricane Jose 976 mb located at 37.2N
71.3W.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:54 PM NDT 19 September 2017 As of 8:00 PM NDT hurricane Jose is estimated to be at 37.2
North 71.3 west with a central pressure of 976 MB, maximum wind speed
of 65 knots, and is moving to the northeast at 7 knots. Jose is
expected to weaken to a tropical storm as it moves northwards towards
Cape Cod. Jose is then forecast to become nearly stationary on
Thursday and remain offshore of the Eastern Seaboard through
Saturday. Jose is not expected to have any impact on Newfoundland
waters during this timeframe.
