Issued 3:00 AM NST 2 March 2015 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located from the Grand Banks to
Labrador.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing ridge located east of the
Grand Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today deepening low 1007 mb located south of
Nova Scotia.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Tuesday deepening low 968 mb located over the
Northeast Coast of Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:59 AM NST 2 March 2015 A low pressure system developing off the American seaboard is
forecast to deepen as it tracks northeastward to cross Central
Newfoundland tonight, then moves to lie northeast of the Belle Isle
Bank by Tuesday night. Southerly to southeasterly gales will develop
this afternoon over southern waters and spread northward ahead of
this system. Gale to hurricane force westerlies to northwesterlies
will develop over all waters in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that hurricane force warnings are in
effect for Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island Bank. Storm warnings are
in effect for the Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half and the
Northeast Coast. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Southeastern Grand Banks.
