over the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland.
By 3:30 p.m. NST today departing trough located east of Funk
At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over New England.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday ridge located over Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday approaching low 995 mb located over
the Great Lakes.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:02 AM NST 28 February 2017 A trough of low pressure over the Northeast Coast will move eastward
to lie out of the district by this afternoon. Strong to gale force
southwesterly winds ahead of the trough shift to strong to gale force
northwesterlies behind it. Winds will begin to diminish late today
and tonight as a ridge of high pressure crosses the district.
On Wednesday a low pressure system will approach from the Great Lakes
region to lie over the Gulf of St. Lawrence by Wednesday evening.
Strong to gale force southerlies are forecast to develop ahead of

waters except Strait of Belle Isle and the Southeastern Grand Banks.
