Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:26 PM NST 25 January 2015 An intense low pressure system over Southeastern Labrador will
continue tracking northeastwards crossing the Labrador Sea tonight
and early on Monday. Storm force southerly winds ahead of this low
will shift to gale to storm force southwesterlies in its wake.
Winds will diminish to strong to gale force overnight tonight into
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters except Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast and the
Southwestern Grand Banks. A high water level warning is in effect for
the Strait of Belle Isle.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, Gulf - Port au
Port, Southwest Coast, East Coast - north of Cape St. Francis,
Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island Bank.
Higher than normal water levels and rough pounding surf along the
western and southern coasts of Newfoundland are expected to subside
