Issued 3:30 PM AST 14 February 2016 Tonight and Monday At 3:30 p.m. AST today low 1002 mb located over East Scotian Slope.
By 10:00 p.m. AST tonight low 998 mb located east of Laurentian Fan.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Monday building ridge located on a line
north-south over New England.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Monday ridge located over the Maritimes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:29 PM AST 14 February 2016 A low pressure system just east of the Laurentian Fan will continue
to track away from the district tonight. Gale to storm force winds in
the wake of the low will subside somewhat overnight. On Monday an
approaching ridge of high pressure will maintain strong to gale force
westerlies over northern and eastern waters. Winds will subside
Monday night as the ridge moves over the Maritimes.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
East Scotian Slope and Laurentian Fan. Gale warnings are in effect
For Georges Bank..West Scotian Slope..Southwestern shore..Lahave
Bank..Eastern shore..Sable..Fourchu..Banquereau..Cabot Strait..
Northumberland Strait eastern half..Gulf-Magdalen and Anticosti.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
Effect for all waters except Laurentian Fan southeastern half..
Chaleur Miscou and Northumberland Strait western half.
