Issued 10:00 AM AST 23 January 2017 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 10:00 a.m. AST today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Maritimes.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Tuesday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Newfoundland.

At 10:00 a.m. AST today deepening low 985 mb located near the East
Coast of the U.S.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Tuesday approaching low 988 mb located south of
Cape Cod.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:02 AM AST 23 January 2017 A low pressure system near mid-Atlantic coast of the United States
will move slowly northeast to lie south of Cape Cod by Tuesday
evening. Easterly gales ahead of the low are expected to develop over
Georges Bank this evening and will slowly spread northeast to reach
eastern shore and Sable by Tuesday evening. Beyond the current
forecast period, gales are likely to spread to most northern and
eastern waters on Wednesday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern
shore, LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, and
East Scotian Slope.
