Issued 3:00 AM AST 7 February 2016 Today Tonight and Monday At 3:00 a.m. AST today cold front located on a line
northeast-southwest over Quebec.
By 5:00 p.m. AST today departing cold front located on a line
northeast-southwest over Cape Breton Island.

At midnight AST tonight low 981 mb located off Cape Hatteras.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight deepening low 973 mb located near
Georges Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:45 AM AST 7 February 2016 A cold front over Quebec at forecast time will pass through the Gulf
of St Lawrence this afternoon to lie over Banquereau this evening.
Strong to gale force southwesterlies ahead of the front veer to
strong to gale force northwesterlies behind it.

A low pressure centre is forming off the Florida coast this morning.
The low will develop into a major storm as it moves up the Eastern
Seaboard to lie over Georges Bank Monday evening. Storm force
northeasterlies are forecast ahead of the storm.

Mariners with harbour assets are advised that we are entering
A period of spring tides. A combination of pounding surf at
Monday's high tide will result in higher than normal water
Levels along the south shore of Nova Scotia. Consult tide tables.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are posted for all
Waters except Bay of Fundy waters..Gulf of St Lawrence waters..Cabot
Strait and Fourchu where gale warnings are in effect.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings remain
in effect for Cabot Strait and all of the Gulf of St Lawrence waters.
