Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM AST 20 November 2017 Tonight and Tuesday At 3:30 p.m. AST today departing low 980 mb located over northern
Quebec.

At 3:00 a.m. AST Tuesday ridge located west of the Marine District.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Tuesday ridge located south of the Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:16 PM AST 20 November 2017 A low pressure system over Northern Quebec will continue to move
northward tonight. Strong to gale force westerlies will persist
tonight then diminish somewhat and back to southwesterly on Tuesday.

Another low pressure system is forecast to move across southern
waters on Thursday. This low will likely give gales to southeastern
waters late on Thursday. Although there is still uncertainty in the
track of this low, the latest indications are that the low will track
across the slope waters Thursday afternoon or evening.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank,
West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope,
Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait - northern half and Anticosti.
