Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM AST 4 March 2015 Tonight and Thursday At 3:30 p.m. AST today trough located over the eastern Marine
District.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight trough located east of the Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Thursday ridge located on a line east-west over
southern Ontario.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Thursday ridge located on a line east-west over
the Maritimes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:08 PM AST 4 March 2015 A trough over the eastern marine district extending from a low
pressure system over Northern Quebec will continue to track eastward
this evening. Strong to gale force southerlies ahead of the trough
will veer to strong westerlies in its wake early this evening.

A ridge of high pressure will begin to build over the Maritimes on
Thursday. Ahead of this ridge strong to gale force northwesterlies
will develop over the Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
East Scotian Slope..Banquereau..Laurentian Fan..Gulf-Magdalen
northeastern half and Anticosti.

Freezing spray warnings are in effect for eastern shore..Sable..
Fourchu..Banquereau and Cabot Strait.
