Wind light increasing to southeast 10 to 15 knots near noon and to southerly 15 to 20 this afternoon with gusts to 30 in the Honguedo Strait. Wind becoming southwest 25 to 30 near midnight then veering to west 20 to 25 Tuesday morning with gusts to 35 in the Honguedo Strait. Wind becoming north 20 to 25 Tuesday afternoon then diminishing to northeast 15 Tuesday evening.

A few showers beginning this afternoon and ending after midnight. Fog patches dissipating near noon.

Issued 3:00 AM ADT 25 September 2017 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 3:00 a.m. ADT today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the eastern Marine District.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Newfoundland.

At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight low 1004 mb located west of Labrador.
By 10:00 a.m. ADT Tuesday low 1000 mb located over northern
Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:44 AM ADT 25 September 2017 At 12:00 AM ADT hurricane Lee was located near 31.1 north, 49.5 west
or about 890 miles east of Bermuda. Maximum sustained winds were 80
knots, the central pressure was 980 millibars.

Lee is drifting slowly east-southeastward and is not expected to
affect the marine district of Atlantic Canada at this time.

At 12:00 AM ADT hurricane Maria was located near 30.0 north, 73.0
west or about 385 miles south-southeast of Cape Hatteras. Maximum
sustained winds were 90 knots, central pressure was 960 millibars.

Maria is slowly moving northward and is expected to enter the
Canadian Hurricane Centre response zone by late Thursday or Friday
morning.
