Sea.
By 3:30 p.m. NST today departing low 950 mb located east of
Labrador Sea.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over southern Labrador Sea.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Tuesday trough located over northeastern Belle
Isle Bank.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located from James Bay to Cape Cod.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Tuesday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over southern Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. NST Tuesday approaching warm front located south of
the Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:59 AM NST 26 January 2015 An intense low pressure system over the Southern Labrador Sea will
continue tracking northeastwards to lie east of the Labrador Sea by
this afternoon. Strong to gale force southwesterlies will diminish to
strong over most waters by this afternoon.

As the low departs a trough will develop over the Southern Labrador
Sea and swing across Belle Isle Bank tonight. Gale to storm force
west to northwesterlies will develop over northern waters near
midnight tonight.

On Tuesday, an approaching warm frontal trough will bring gale to
storm force easterlies to southern and Gulf waters by afternoon.
Winds will shift to gale force southwesterlies over southern waters
by Tuesday evening.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank - northeastern half. Gale warnings are in effect all
remaining waters except the Strait of Belle Isle.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the South Coast, East Coast - Cape St.
Francis and south and the Grand Banks.
