line northwest-southeast over the northern Grand Banks.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:56 AM NDT 31 May 2016 A low pressure system over Western Labrador is forecast to track
eastward through the Strait of Belle Isle today and into the Belle
Isle Bank tonight. The low will then continue southeastward on
Wednesday. Strong to gale force northwesterlies are expected to
develop over northern waters late tonight or Wednesday behind this
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, East Coast - north of Cape St.
Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank and
Northern Grand Banks.
