Issued 3:00 AM NST 7 February 2016 Today Tonight and Monday At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday departing ridge located east of the Marine
District.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 1005 mb located over Quebec.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday low 1003 mb located over southern Belle
Isle Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. NST Monday approaching low 970 mb located south of
Nova Scotia.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:55 AM NST 7 February 2016 A low pressure system will approach from the west today and will
cross the Great Northern Peninsula this evening before moving off to
the northeast on Monday. Strong to gale force southerlies ahead of
this low will shift to strong to gale force westerlies in its wake.

A second, and much more intense low pressure system will move up the
Eastern Seaboard to lie south of Nova Scotia by Monday evening.
This system will spread gale force east to northeasterlies to
southern waters late Monday. Storm force winds are quite likely,
especially over southern coastal waters Monday night into Tuesday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except the Northern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Southern Grand Banks.
