the East Coast of Newfoundland.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Thursday ridge located east of the Marine
District.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight low 997 mb located southwest of Nova
Scotia.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Thursday low 992 mb located near Prince Edward
Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:56 PM NST 17 December 2014 A low pressure system just southwest of Nova Scotia is forecast to
intensify and track northeastward to lie near Prince Edward Island on
Thursday. Strong to gale force east to southeasterlies are expected
to develop overnight tonight ahead of this feature, as it approaches
southern waters.

Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for the
Southwestern Grand Banks.
