Issued 3:30 PM NDT 30 April 2016 Tonight and Sunday At 3:30 p.m. NDT today low 993 mb located southeast of Belle
Isle Bank.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight departing low 998 mb located east of
Belle Isle Bank.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today ridge located over the southern Grand Banks.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Sunday quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
east-west over Newfoundland.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT Sunday approaching low located south of the
Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:16 PM NDT 30 April 2016 A low pressure system southeast of Belle Isle Bank will continue
moving away from the region tonight. Strong to gale force west to
northwesterlies will diminish to strong this evening as the low
departs.

On Sunday a strengthening low is expected to pass just southeast of
the Grand Banks. As a result, strong to gale force northeasterlies
are expected to develop Sunday afternoon over the Southern Grand
Banks.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank and Southeastern Grand Banks.
