the northern Grand Banks.
By 10:00 a.m. NST today trough located east of the Marine District.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today trough located over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Tuesday trough located over Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:08 AM NST 27 February 2017 A trough of low pressure over the Northern Grand Banks will move to
lie east of the marine district this morning. Strong to gale force
southwesterlies ahead of the trough will shift to strong to gale
force westerlies in its wake.

A second trough of low pressure approaching from the west will cross
Newfoundland tonight. Strong to gale force southwesterly winds ahead
of the trough shift to strong to gale force northwesterly behind it.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, Gulf-Port au Port, East
Coast-north of Cape St. Francis, Northeast Coast, Funk Island Bank
and Northern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, Gulf - Port au Port,
East Coast - north of Cape St. Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle
Bank, Funk Island Bank and Northern Grand Banks.
