At 10:00 a.m. NDT today low 1000 mb located over Anticosti Island.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight dissipating low 1004 mb located over the
Strait of Belle Isle.
At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight approaching ridge located south of the
Maritimes.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:50 AM NDT 25 April 2024 A low pressure system over Newfoundland will track northward to lieover the Labrador Sea Friday morning. Meanwhile, a second low
pressure system will develop over Anticosti Island this morning and
track through the Gulf waters before dissipating over the Strait of
Belle Isle this evening. Strong to gale force south to
southwesterlies over most waters will diminish to light to moderate
winds as a ridge of high pressure builds over the region on Friday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, East Coast, Funk Island Bank, and
Northern Grand Banks.
