over Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday ridge located on a line north-south over
the Grand Banks.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 989 mb located over the southeastern
Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NST today departing low 983 mb located northeast of
the Grand Banks.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight low 995 mb located over the Gaspe
By 3:30 p.m. NST Friday departing low 996 mb located east of Funk
Island Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:51 AM NST 23 February 2017 A low pressure system over the Southeastern Grand Banks will move
away to the east later today. Over southeastern waters, strong to
gale force northerlies ahead of the low will shift to gale force
northwesterlies in its wake, then diminish as it moves away.

A second low pressure system will approach from the west today and
tonight. The low will track eastward across Northern Newfoundland
Friday morning, then move east of the district later in the day.
