Issued 8:00 PM NST 6 February 2016 Tonight and Sunday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing low 956 mb located northeast
of the Marine District.

At 3:00 a.m. NST Sunday low 1005 mb located over Quebec.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Sunday low 1002 mb located over the Great Northern
Peninsula.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located over the Maritimes.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Sunday departing ridge located east of the Marine
District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 8:00 PM NST 6 February 2016 An intense low pressure system northeast of the marine district will
continue moving northeastward out to sea tonight. Gale force
northwesterlies over northeastern waters will diminish overnight as a
ridge approaches from the west.

A second low pressure system will approach from the west on Sunday
and cross the Gulf of St. Lawrence to lie over the Great Northern
Peninsula late Sunday. Strong to gale force southerlies ahead of
The low will veer to strong to gale force westerlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised gale warnings are in effect for Gulf
waters, Southwest Coast, East Coast - north of Cape St. Francis,
Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and the Northern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, East Coast - north of
Cape St. Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island
Bank.
