Marine Weather StatementIssued 2:49 AM NST 19 February 2017 A low pressure system will approach Newfoundland from the west this
morning and cross Southeastern Newfoundland this afternoon. Strong to
gale force southerly winds are forecast for southern and eastern
waters ahead of this system.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Funk Island Bank - eastern half and the Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for East Coast - north of Cape St. Francis, Northeast Coast,
Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank - western half.
